This text describes the idea behind the EHTML extensions to the HTML used by the World Wide Web. If you are not a client of Vaxxine Computer Systems, you will not be able to use these extensions.
The Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) represents the backbone of documents found on the World Wide Web (WWW). This simple set of codes allows a plain text file to take on attributes to format and display text in an attractive and consistent manner.
When most people think of the advancements of the WWW, they concentrate on the features that their browser (Netscape, Mosaic, Lynx, etc.) can provide for them. Such features include advanced caching capabilities to reduce page load times, background graphics, as well as other fantastic options.
A seemingly hidden aspect of communicating HTML is the server which passes each HTML page to your browser. Such servers tend to be simple software, passing the codes and text of your page to the browser with no enhancements.
The EHTML code server offered by Vaxxine Computer Systems allows Vaxxine's WWW server on to become an active partner in creating a dynamic WWW page. It's codes allow for a number of advanced options ranging from maintaining a 'visitor count' on your home page, to being able to provide dynamic information based on where a WWW user has connected to your page from, to displaying text files within your page, to ...
The EHTML codes have the same appearance as codes already in HTML. Unlike HTML, however, EHTML was designed from the beginning to take advantage of the power of the UNIX operating system the server is running on.
EHTML does not require knowledge of the underlying UNIX operating system, nor does it require knowledge of programming. This makes it a far easier and faster way to create advanced web pages than the alternatives. The EHTML codes are a logical extension to HTML using a format anyone creating a page would be familiar with.
All Vaxxine users can make use of EHTML without any addition charges. This means that page counters, etc., are available immediately, and without any extra fees.
