The EHTML system at Vaxxine provides a simple way to add advanced features to your WWW pages. While the system is easy to use, it relies on aspects of the UNIX operating system that some clients find a little confusing at first. This page is designed to provide the text of common errors that you may encounter when first starting with EHTML, and how you can fix them.
Please note that some WWW browsers, such as NCSA Mosaic, do not return the text of error messages. If you are receiving errors using such a browser, you may wish to try Netscape as it provides the full text to error messages returned by Vaxxine's WWW server.
An error commonly encountered is that EHTML codes such as COUNTER and LOCLOG work correctly in the "default.eht" page, but fail in others. This is due to the fact that the failing page is not configured to be EHTML.
All EHTML pages should end in the extension ".eht". Nothing should reside in your "ehtml" directory.
For more information about setting up please see the notes about Secondary EHTML Pages.
