Aunt Betty's Chocolate Icing
5 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk
Thicken to pudding consistency over medium heat... do not stop stirring, do not leave unattended...should
be thick pudding when done. Set aside to cool.
1/2 cup soft Crisco
1/2 cup soft butter
1 cup white sugar
pinch of salt
cap of vanilla
2 tablespoons cocao powder
Mix dry ingrediants, mix in butter and crisco well. Add pudding mixture when cold.
Blend all with mixer.... whip until fluffy
Slice a two layer cake mix into 4 layers....
Makes enough for a four layer chocolate cake.
If using a cake mix, use milk instead of water for a richer cake.
