Nana Ross' Butter Tarts

1 Cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon soft butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
Beat well
Using pastry recipe, or frozen pastry shells, fill 1/3 to 1/2 full...if using pastry, hang from rim of muffin tins.
Bake 17 minutes at 375 degrees
